QUALIFICATIONS

The qualifications Matt achieved at University has help to provide and good foundation of knowledge and experience in his first steps towards his dream of one day opening up his own business doing something he is immensely passionate about, working with animals! The course provided him the opportunity to delve into subject areas such as Animal Behaviour, Animal Welfare, Handling and Husbandry, Animal Rehabilitation and Animal Anatomy & Physiology and a vast array of other relevant subject modules.

The course was ideally balanced by allowing 50% theory and 50% practical & industry training, finished with a dissertation and exams at the end. Being based at Reaseheath College campus provided top of the range facilities like an ‘open to the public zoo’, a kennels, big high standard equine yard and arenas and even its own fully functioning agricultural unit and its own ‘Genus MOET herd’. All of this made it possible to gain valuable experience for any future related job roles.

Despite this great academic foundation and all of his job experience to date, Matt still pushes the bar to gain more knowledge and is constantly striving to better himself so he can provide a top class service!
